Exotic animals, wagon rides, petting zoo to be featured as NYPA Wildlife Festival returns to Massena Saturday

MASSENA -- The NYPA Wildlife Festival will return to the Hawkins Point Visitors Center Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Admission to the rain-or-shine event is free.

It will include entertainment, exotic animal displays, wagon rides, reptiles, a petting zoo, birds of prey and food vendors.

The World of Wildlife and Educational Encounters (WOWEE) bring a variety of exotic and endangered animals.

WOWEE volunteers will provide two educational shows at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., during which audience members can play interactive games.

In between shows, volunteers will be on-hand to answer questions about the exotic and endangered animals.

Reptiles Forever wshowcase a variety of insects and reptiles, including a python and a 50-pound turtle.

There will be a petting zoo with farm animals, craft projects, wagon rides, chainsaw carving, birds of prey on display and movies in the visitors’ center theater.
