CANTON -- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) - Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will hold the NRCS Local Work Group meeting for Jefferson, Lewis, St. Lawrence counties. The meetings take place Dec. 15 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at 1942 Old DeKalb Rd.
The Local Work Group will focus on identifying agricultural and natural resource issues existing in your community and providing information and feedback to direct NRCS programs.
Participants may be agricultural producers; owners of nonindustrial private forestland; representatives of agricultural and environmental organizations; and representatives of governmental agencies carrying out environmental, agricultural, or natural resource conservation programs and activities.
