NORWOOD -- The Grateful Oars Rowing Club, has begun its 2015 membership drive.
The club rows on Norwood Lake in crew boats with four or eight rowers and a coxswain.
Grateful Oars members range in age from young adulthood to their 70s.
The club will hold its “Learn to Row” day on June 6 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Norwood Beach boathouse. This free event is for those who think they would like to learn to row but have no experience. The club will give formal instruction in July and August.
Experienced rowers may join the club at any time.
