NORWOOD -- The Norwood Village Green Concert Series presents the Norwood Fire Department Band The Brass Firemen on Thursday, July 30, and Creole Stomp Sunday, Aug. 2. Both concerts begin at 7 p.m.
Dennis Stroughmatt, leader of Creole Stomp, was featured on All Things Considered on NPR in early October 2014 as an expert in Creole French.
Creole Stomp hails from Louisiana. The band’s sound includes a mix of contemporary blues, swamp pop, and traditional Cajun and zydeco dance tunes.
