NORWOOD – The Norwood Beach Triathlon will be held Saturday, Aug. 18 at 9 a.m. at the Norwood Beach Recreation Park on Lakeshore Drive.
It will consist of a quarter-mile open-water swim, 15-mile bike and four-mile run. Participants can do the entire race as an individual or as a two- or three-member team.
All proceeds will benefit the John C. Purvis Scholarship Fund and other local organizations.
Cost is $30 for individuals and $45 for teams if postmarked prior to Aug. 10 and $35 for individuals and $55 per team afterwards.
