NORWOOD -- A HeartSaver first aid class will be offered at the Norwood Adult Education Center, 7227 State Highway 56, July 20 from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.
The class teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives.
Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. Students receive an American Heart Association HeartSaver First Aide Course completion card that is valid for two years.
This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training.
