POTSDAM -- Clarkson University alumnus and University of New Hampshire Professor of Chemistry Glen Miller will present "Teaching Nanoscience Concepts" from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13 at the Cheel Campus Center.

All northern New York grades 7 to 12 pre-college teachers are invited to attend.

A buffet dinner will be served starting at 5:30 p.m. at a cost of $10 per person, payable at the door.

Miller developed his presentation to precollege teachers in the New Hampshire region. It includes a demonstration of nanoscience kits from the Boston Museum of Science.

The Northern New York Section of the American Chemical Society is co-funding the event as part of its celebration of the International Year of Chemistry, 2011.

Teachers wishing to attend should RSVP by Oct. 11 to Richard Partch at 268-2351 or partch@clarkson.edu .
