NORFOLK -- The Northern New York Drill Team Captains Association will stage a firematic tournament here on Sept. 2.
The event will be sponsored by the Norfolk fire department at its Clinton Street course.
Nine events will be run throughout the day, which will include contests in ladder climbing, hose connection and an old fashioned bucket brigade.
Teams from Copenhagen, Great Bend, Louisville and West Carthage are expected to participate in the events.
This will be the final tournament of the 2017 season. Points garnered in the contests in Norfolk will finalize the overall points for each contest and determine the season’s foot and motorized champions.
This will be the second event staged by the Association in St. Lawrence County this year. There was an earlier event staged in Louisville, said a press release from the organization.
