The Northern Lights Orchestra will offer four concerts in St. Lawrence County as part of its 2016 Summer Season: "A Tribute to the Big Band Era!"
Performances will feature famous selections from the catalogs of Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman and more.
Northern Lights Orchestra members include professional musicians, music teachers, accomplished amateurs, and students from the tri-county region of Jefferson, Lewis, and St. Lawrence counties. NLO Conductor and Music Director Christian Hosmer has conducted, taught, and performed in Northern New York for more than twenty years.
They will perform at Swift Field Pavilion in South Colton on Wednesday, Aug. 3 at 6:30 p.m., at Donald Martin Civic Center in Waddington on Friday, Aug. 12 at 6:30 p.m. and the Gouverneur Community Center Recreation Park on Saturday, Aug. 13 at 7 p.m.
The orchestra's final St. Lawrence County show of the season will be at Springs Park in Massena at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 18.
