OGDENSBURG – The second annual Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce-sponsored North Country Wine, Beer and Food Festival is shaping up to be a comprehensive event that puts the spotlight on area artisans of both consumables and crafts Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 14 and 15 at the Lockwood Civic Center and on the river at the Dobisky Visitors Center.
At the civic center, visitors can sample New York State wines, craft beers, cheeses, maple & honey products, sausage, baked goods, unique sauces and spices, locally grown herbs, vegetables, fresh ground coffee and much more.
And in the Dobisky Visitor’s Center just across the Oswegatchie River, visitors can see North Country artisans demonstrating and selling their craft. Outside the Visitor’s Center people will be treated to live entertainment under the tent, McGrath’s Texas Style Bar-B-Q and a beer tent.
Admission is $5 for adults and includes a free embossed souvenir wine glass. Tickets are on sale now at all Price Chopper Stores.

(beer distributor), Ogdensburg; Bittersweet Farms, Heuvelton; Big Cheese Pizza, Ogdensburg; Thousand Islands Winery, Alexandria Bay; Otter Creek Winery, Philadelphia; Coyote Moon Vineyards, Clayton; The Nut Shop International, Colton.
In addition, sculptors, painters, canoe makers and other area artisans will be showing off their wares at the Dobisky Center.
