POTSDAM -- North Country Matters, aired on WCKN at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, March 23 and Tuesday, March 24, focuses on the work of the North Country 350 Alliance.

Heather Sullivan-Catlin and Ginger Storey-Welch talk with Bess Kirnie and Donna Seymour about climate change and global warming, how it is affecting us in the North Country and people across the globe, and what the North Country 350 Alliance is doing to educate and advocate for better policy and personal choices.

The second show at 8 p.m. both nights features a Village of Canton check up with Mary Ann Ashley, the mayor of Canton, and Leigh Bixby Rodriguez, the Village of Canton Director of Economic Development.

They discuss the current Village of Canton situation and some of the unique initiatives at the village level with Seymour. They also examine economic plans and how the new Canton-Potsdam Hospital Regional Medical Center Project that will add a multi-million medical complex just outside the village might impact the area.
