POTSDAM – The Potsdam Food Co-op, 24 Elm St., will host another Thursday sampling on May 21, from 3:30 until 5:30 p.m.
The Co-op will debut and offer samples of two new items, created by its Carriage House Bakery & Deli.
The recipes come from the 1st Place Winners of the 2015 North Country Jr. Iron Chef competition, a project of the Health Initiative. Available to sample will be “Crispy Black Bean Tacos with Vegetable Slaw and Cilantro Sour Cream”, the winning recipe in the High School division and created by team “A Cut Above the Rest” of CV-TEC in Plattsburgh.
Also available will be “Beet-Blueberry Muffins” (aka “A Complete Breakfast is Hard to Beet!”) which was the winning recipe in the Middle School division and created by “The Team to Beet” of Canton Central School.
