POTSDAM -- The next North Country Children's Museum’s program is on Awkesasne culture Saturday, Oct. 4 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the University Bookstore, Market Street
In this program, children will learn about and help prepare a traditional Iroquois-Haudenosaunee food dish made from Iroquois white corn. Children will also try a traditional strawberry drink made with maple syrup.
The children will learn and participate in a Haudenosaunee song and dance social. Come The session will be led by Akwesasne Mohawk artist and educator Natasha Smoke Santiago.
