POTSDAM – The North Country Children's Museum presents “Indian Dance and Music Workshop” on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. with musician Shimul Zaman.
Children will be introduced to instruments, the context of Indian music, participate in Bangladeshi dance, and taste traditional food.
They will listen to songs and watch videos on the culture.
Children will also learn about saris, a traditional garment worn by Indian women made of colorful cotton or silk.
The programs is held at the University Bookstore , 39 Market St., and is geared toward children in grades K-5.
The cost is $10 per child.
