North Country Children's Museum to present 'Adirondack Science' Saturday in Potsdam

POTSDAM -- The North Country Children's Museum will present Adirondack Science on Saturday, Jan. 23, from 12:30 until 2 p.m. with SUNY Canton science professors Ron Tavernier, Dave Bradford and Will Rivers.

Kids will explore snow and the winter world looking at how animals deal with the harsh winters of Northern New York.

Children will explore the properties of snow and ice and how they affect animals trying to survive the local conditions.

Hibernation, migration and other strategies for surviving the cold months will be discussed.

Kids will earn how to find animals in the winter using tracks and other animal signs.

The fee is $10 per child. Register through clear@potsdam.edu or 267-2167.
