POTSDAM -- North Country Children's Museum will host a “kidstage” theater workshop Saturday, Nov. 2 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the Clarkson University Bookstore.
Children in grades kindergarten through fifth will explore the Aztec-based story “The Musicians of the Sun” by Gerald McDermott.
When the Lord of the Night sees his world is sad and colorless because his four musicians have been locked-away by Sun, he sends Wind to free them to play their special music and fill the world with happiness once more.
Children will read the story, choose instruments to represent the characters and ideas of the story, and present a dramatic re-telling of the story through acting and playing instruments.
Kimberly Busch, Canton Central School, and Krista Easton, St. Lawrence Central Music Teacher, will lead the workshop.
