POTSDAM – The North Country Children's Museum will present “Art Studio: Papermaking” on Dec. 12 from 12:30 until 2 p.m. at the Clarkson University Bookstore, 39 Market St. Students will learn the papermaking process from start to finish through hands-on activities.
They will make new paper pulp from recycled paper, dip screens into vats of pulp, experiment with various embellishments, and form new sheets of paper to take home. The workshop is taught by St. Lawrence University art professor Melissa Schulenberg.
The cost is $10 per child. Register at www.potsdam.edu/community/clear/. Walk-ins welcome if space is available.
