NORFOLK -- The Norfolk Hepburn Library will be offering a presentation about solar electricity for individual residences at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31.
It is free and open to all in the area.
The presentation by Scott Shipley of Northern Lights Energy will be followed by a question and answer period.
Shipley has been installing solar systems for the past two decades. His company installed the solar electric system on the library’s roof and the library’s energy costs have been dramatically lower since then, according to Library Director Vicky Brothers.
The goal of the morning’s program will be to answer all questions. The presentation will focus on three main areas:
• How does a solar system work?
• Is a solar system right for my property?
• What costs and payback are involved in capturing the free solar energy?
People may wish to bring a copy of their electric bills for comparison.
