This year the derby will be a “Luck of the Draw” derby.

Registration will be Friday, Jan. 25th at 8 a.m. and Saturday from 6 a.m. until noon.

All fish must be entered by 5 p.m. Saturday. Fish brought in live for release will earn a chance to win up to $250 cash from Charles Garlock & Sons.

Over $10,000 in prizes for adults and children’s divisions will be awarded at 6 p.m. Saturday. The grand prize will be $1,000 from the Glenn Sweet Thousand Island Decoy Company. Other prizes will include $500 in cash, donated by the Gouverneur Savings and Loan; a $500 gift certificate from Rte. 37 and Wellesley Island Building Supply; a Milwaukee four-pack tool set, donated by McQuade & Bannigan and an ice auger donated by Horizon Marine.

The largest fish entered will win $250 donated by the Alexandria Bay Fire Department.

Entertainment by Crossroads DJ Service will be provided Friday and Saturday nights, and refreshments will be served both days. A Masonic lodge breakfast will be held Saturday morning at the fire hall, and a merchant’s auction will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday.
