POTSDAM -- The ninth annual James & Katherine Andrews Young Artist Instrumental Competition will be held Saturday, Jan. 31 in Hosmer Hall, SUNY Potsdam.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. in the lobby , with the competition slated for a 9 a.m. start. The event typically lasts four hours.
Admission is free.
First place will win $500, two complimentary tickets to concerts in March and the winner will be featured with the orchestra at the Fables, Fantasy and Folklore concert in March.
The second place winner will be awarded $300 and two complimentary tickets to concerts in March.
Third prize is $150 and two tickets to March concerts.
