CANTON -- The Cerebral Palsy Association of the North Country will host the 14th annual Polar Bear Golf Tournament Thursday, Feb. 14 with nine holes of golf in the snow.
Beyond the golf, highlights will include warm refreshments, prize raffles and other outdoor activities. A casual dinner and trivia quiz will wrap up the evening.
The tournament will take place at the Best Western University Inn and St. Lawrence University Golf Course.
All proceeds will benefit the association’s outdoor recreation program, which provides disabled individuals with the opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, canoeing, kayaking and horseback riding.
Participants can golf for $25, have dinner at 5 p.m. for $25, or do both for $40. Tee times will begin at 10 a.m. and continue in 10 minute increments until 3:30 p.m. The format will be a four-person scramble, but teams with less than four people are still welcome to play.
Polar Bear Golf gear will be sold.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available for local businesses that wish to contribute.
To participate or becoming a sponsor, contact Makenzie Taylor, director of public relations and fundraising, at 386-1156, extension 2005 or mltaylor@cpnorthcountry.org.
