OGDENSBURG -- The Frederic Remington Art Museum will host a Night at the Museum Thursday, July 20, featuring music by Steelin' Country.

The event will be held in the museum’s Eleanor Vilas McNally Courtyard from 6-8 p.m. Cost is $5 for members and $10 for non-members. A cash bar will be provided by Hosmer’s Marina.

The band is comprised of a number of area musicians who love to play what they call “real country” music from the past, along with original compositions written by some group members. They will play songs by Ray Price, Connie Smith, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, and many others.

Band members include Kirk Robinson on pedal steel guitar, Michelle Bresett on rhythm guitar and lead vocals, Terry Robinson on electric guitar, Alex Hammond on percussion and lead vocals, Josh Barkley on keyboard, and Tyler Jaquith on bass guitar.

The members of the band bring to the stage a varied background of musical experiences, entertaining audiences as diverse as New York State Fair attendees, high school and college students, church congregations, nursing home residents, and anyone else who enjoys quality music.

An Ogdensburg favorite, the Wimpy’s Inn food truck is scheduled to park on the Museum property for the event. A wonderful addition to live music provided in the beautifully renovated Eleanor Vilas McNally Courtyard.

The Frederic Remington Art Museum is located at 303 Washington St., Ogdensburg.
