POTSDAM -- The Crane School of Music Faculty Recital Series will continue on Oct. 17 with a performance highlighting saxophonist Robert Young. The concert is slated for 7:30 p.m. in the Sara M. Snell Music Theater at SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music.
The program will feature a saxophone repertoire, including the world premiere of a piece by Crane School of Music Professor Gregory Wanamaker. Titled "...unsettled, unphased...," Young will present the new wok along with Timothy Sullivan on percussion, John Geggie on electric bass and Kirk Severtson on piano.
The performance will also include works by Bill Ryan, Andrew Norman, Ethan Cypress, Madeleine Klouda and Bright Sheng. Pianist David Heinick will also join Young for a piece by Alfred Desenclos.
