CANTON -- North Country farmers will have the opportunity to attend the New York Organic Certified meeting without leaving the local area.
The Feb. 9 meeting will broadcast the New York Organic Certified gathering of farmers from across New York State, dairy and crop consultants, Cornell University researchers and Cornell Cooperative Extension educators to CCE Extension in Canton.
The meeting will feature three presentations and a farmer panel on managing soil health with crop rotations and forage production broadcast via Internet link from the New York State Agricultural Experimental Station in Geneva, to Cornell Cooperative Extension offices in Canton, Morrisville, Warsaw and Westport.
There is no cost to participate, the meeting begins at 10 a.m. Registration is requested to CCE of St. Lawrence County, 2043B State Highway 68, Kitty O’Neil, 379-9192 ext. 253.
