POTSDAM -- The new Robert J. Freego AmVets Post 282, 6771 State Highway 56, will hold its grand opening April 5 at noon.
The post is located near the corner of County Route 35 between Canton and Potsdam. The event will begin with ribbon-cutting ceremony.
There will be refreshments and prizes throughout the day, including a barbecue grill donated by Sears.
The building was upgraded with new paint, handicap accessible toilets and the purchase of new fire doors.
The post is currently open daily from noon until 8 p.m. and will stay open later if customers are there.
