POTSDAM -- The New Horizons Band of Northern New York will host a meeting for new members on Tuesday, Aug. 18 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Potsdam Civic Center’s community room.
The band is aimed at adults who wish to learn to play a concert band instrument such as trombone, clarinet, flute, percussion, etc. and to play in a band.
The band made a number of public performances in the past year including Ives Park during the Summer Festival, South Colton’s ice cream social, and the SOAR lunch.
The also traveled to Ottawa to play with that city’s New Horizons Band.
All rehearsals are weekdays.
