POTSDAM -- New Hope Transformation House Ministries will host a public forum on addiction Saturday, Nov. 16 from 9 am until 3 pm at the New Hope Community Church, 33 Grant St.
The 9 a.m. to noon session will present an overview of the “Shalom Model,” including the roots of addiction, and the disease model, as well as solutions to addiction. The afternoon sessions will include “Substance Use Disorders - Drugs and Diagnostic Criteria,” Gaining Freedom (from Destructive and Addictive Emotions),” and “Hope, Help and Healing for Family Members.”
The registration fee is $20, or $10 for seniors and students, and includes a continental breakfast and light lunch. The fee will be waived for those unable to pay. Register on Facebook: New Hope Transformation House Ministries or at johnault@newhopepotsdam.org, or 353-5199.
