CANTON – Nature Up North is hosting a summer campfire/night navigation class Thursday, July 27, from 7:30-9 p.m. at Wachtmeister Field Station on the Kip Trail.
Participants will learn about nocturnal animals and plants during the session.
There will be an introductory discussion around the campfire, followed by a short walk in the woods.
The Kip Trail is mainly flat, with some small hills and roots in the trail.
For a full night-time effect, participants will not use any lights and will let their eyes adjust to the dark.
There will be s’mores after the walk.
