“Nature up North” is sponsoring several upcoming events in the St. Lawrence County area.
The Annual North Country Goose Roundup will be held in Massena on June 26 at 6:30 a.m. They will offer rides from Canton to Wilson Hill Wildlife Management area.
The day will be spent canoeing and helping the DEC capture and tag this seasons stock of Canadian geese.
They will also host a campfire for all ages on June 27 from 8 to 9:30 p.m. at Wachtmeister Field Station with s’mores, conversation and entertainment from local musicians Gizmo and the Tinker Toys, a duo comprised of Catherine Jahncke and Rosemary Phillips.
There will also be a “night hike” on June 28 from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. and a fishing clinic on June 30 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
Local resident angler Melissa Schulenberg will teach fishing techniques and safety for beginners.
