MASSENA – The Nature Center will offer several upcoming art classes for free. Join West Potsdam artist, Becky Harblin, for an outdoor pastel painting workshop at the Nature Center from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 7. Participants will use portable easels in nature to create art.
A basket weaving workshop will be offered from 1 to 4 p.m. with Donna Jadlos of the Adirondack Basket Tree. She will instruct the workshop on how to make beautiful and useful baskets for participants to keep. All materials are provided for this workshop.
Local artist, Marion Bradish of Riverflow Studio in Winthrop, is teaching an outdoor acrylic painting class Sept. 8 from noon to 2 p.m. The class will focus on birch trees. All materials including easels, canvasses and paints will be provided.
