Attendees gather around a labyrinth at last year's event.

CANTON -- The eighth Mystical Journey Holistic & Psychic Faire will held Oct. 30 through Nov. 1 featuring a number of vendors, presenters, psychics, mediums, door prizes and an adult Halloween costume contest.

The three-day event will again be held at the Best Western University Inn, 90 East Main St.

Friday hours are from 4 to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.

The general admission cost to attend all three days is $9 and $6 for one day. Senior citizens can attend all three days for $8 or $5 for one day. College students with ID will be admitted for $5 for all three days or $3 for one day.

The adult Halloween costume contest is slated for 6 p.m. on Oct. 31 and will include cash prizes. Attendees are welcome to wear costumes throughout the day.

Richard Tenace, teacher and author of “Intimate Connections-Business Card Readings,” “The Sherlock Holmes Approach to Reading Everyone,” “The SAR Toolbox,” “How to Listen to Your Inner Voice” and “How to Read Regular Playing Cards for Fun and Profit” will be the special guest lecturer. His lecture is “Secret Symbols of the Tarot.”

The lineup of free lectures includes “Metaphysics of Love,” “Gemstones,” “Le-Vel,” “Paranormal Investigations,” “Hopi Ear Candling” and a labyrinth workshop.

A number of psychics and mediums will also be in attendance. They include Wanda Winters, one of the show’s co-founders, psychic intuitive, spiritual counselor and IET therapy instructor; Sarina, who bills herself as “Oracle of Light Clairvoyant Psychic Medium;” Barbara Bennett, psychic medium; Kim Ward, psychic, medium, empath and shamanic practitioner.

All four are Reiki instructors. Dennis Cole, who calls himself a “psychic transpersonal astrologer & life consultant,” will be there. Joy Steinhorst Davis, psychic, will do readings. The Rev. Denise McKee, who calls herself an “intuitive life coach and angel card reader” is thr newest member.

There will be several vendors including Terri VanAlstyne of LeVel Thrive; Connie Nicolette of the Handmaiden’s Garden, with specialty soaps, lotions and books; and Joseph and Marion Davis of Western Vision, with stones, geodes, jewelry and assorted rocks.

New this year is Laura Spickerman, with what she describes as “color energy enhanced clothing” and wire wrap jewelry.

Treasure Island displays what they call “energy charged jewelry,” salt lamps and gifts along with their newest charka design necklace and earring sets.

People can tell Paranormal Investigations St. Lawrence Seaway (PISToLS) about their ghost stories or sign up for an investigation of a house they believe is haunted. People can bring pictures to share with their story.

Holistic energy workers will be available. Renee DeSocio offers what she calls “energy reconstructive sessions” and foot baths called bionic hydrotherapy. New to this section of the show will be Alan Davis, reiki practitioner, who has been involved with the faire for several years.

A labyrinth workshop table will be a focal point for everyone to use at the faire with information on “How to draw your own Labyrinth.”

Elizabeth (BJ) Mosher, a veriditas labyrinth trained facilitator, reiki and karuna instructor, will demonstrate labyrinth walking meditation techniques and energy chakra balancing. She is also co-founder of this show along with Wanda Winters. Winters calls herself a “psychic intuitive, reiki & integrated energy therapy master teacher, ordained minister, and past life regressionist.” They started RealmShift in 2002 offering holistic and psychic faires and gatherings.
