POTSDAM – Board-certified music therapist Tracy Wanamaker leads music and art exploration workshops on Tuesdays, Sept. 24, Oct. 8 and 22, Nov. 5 and 19, Dec. 3 and 17. Classes for adults ages 21 and up meet from 10:30 a.m. to noon on those dates and ages 11 to 20 meet from 3:30 to 5 p.m. All classes meet in room 229 in Downtown Snell Hall, 41 Elm St.
Pre-registration is required; students may register for as many or as few classes in the series as they are available to attend. Price per class is $12.

The Special Arts program at SLC Arts is designed to meet the needs of people with developmental disabilities.
It provides opportunities for adults and students with cognitive disabilities, autism and severe learning disabilities to participate in supportive and therapeutic group activities. Group members are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities including singing, movement, dancing, playing instruments, painting, and other arts exploration designed to stimulate the senses, encourage creativity, and increase socialization.
The Special Arts program is supported in part by the Sweetgrass Foundation, Rotary Club of Potsdam, and Knights of Columbus Sarto Council #1059.
