CANTON -- A mushroom class will be held at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Learning Farm south of Canton Saturday, Sept. 16, from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Instructor Mike Corse of the Pierrepont-based Deep Root Mushroom Farm will teach a class on raising oyster mushrooms, a variety well-suited for beginners.
The cost is $25.00, which includes a “tabletop mushroom farm” kit for each participant.
Class size is limited to 12 people, so pre-registration is required.
