POTSDAM – The Potsdam Elks Club will host a murder-mystery dinner theater Saturday, Feb. 23, staged by the Acme Mystery Company of Syracuse.
Actors will set up the room with programs and clues and guests will be seated at 6:50 p.m. for salads and bread. At 7 p.m., the actors will mingle and discuss clues with the audience.
At 7:30 p.m., the first act will begin during which the crime will be committed. The body will then be removed so guests can eat dinner. Later, the actors will return with Act Two and guests will be given a chance to guess “who done it.”
The show wraps up with Act Three, followed by an awards ceremony for the three best guesses and the three worst guesses. Winners will receive a certificate of achievement.
The event is sponsored by the Dick Murphy/Dalton Guyette Memorial Youth Project, which provides children in poverty equipment, transportation and/or fees to participate in local activities such as any sports or athletic teams.
Cocktails will be available from 5-6 p.m. Tickets are $35 person including the meal. The public is invited.
