The concert is a showcase of 22 choreographic works by undergraduate dancers, including an array of styles, ranging from contemporary to jazz to African dance. "For Movement's Sake" has been split into two programs, which will all be performed in the Dance Theater, located in the SUNY Potsdam Performing Arts Center.
The first performance will be presented on Friday, Nov. 30 at 7:30 p.m., and on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 2 p.m. The second performance will be presented on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 5 p.m. and on Sunday, Dec. 2 at 2 p.m.[img_assist|nid=248053|title=Works by 22 SUNY Potsdam dancers will be featured in the upcoming Student Choreographers Concert, titled "For Movement's Sake," from Nov. 30 to Dec. 2. Admission to the Student Choreographers Concert is free.
The featured student choreographers include: Carlie Bonilla, Atiya Clarke, Brooklyn Collier, Courtney Corigliano, Krystal Dawkins, Maribel Flores, Nicole Gibson, Qua'deer Jones, Caitlyn Lane, Zoe Loveless, Amber McCarthy, Cortney Nelsen, Devon Newsome, Sarah Olsen, Eliut Ortiz, Morgan Ose, Mikayla Pike, Eliezer Quarless, Katherine Rubenacker, Olivia Scata and Sarah Young.
To reserve a seat, free tickets are available through the Community Performance Series Box Office, located in the Performing Arts Center Lobby, by calling 315-267-2277.
Tickets will also be available at the door, beginning one hour before show time.
