Motorcycle runs to be held in Massena and Parishville on Saturday

Motorcycle enthusiasts can join their fellow riders in Massena and Parishville for runs on Saturday.

The 2014 Chrome Divas motorcycle ride for Meals on Wheels will be at the Amvets on Fregoe Road, Massena Center.

Registration is 9 to 10:45 a.m., kickstands up at 11 a.m.

Cost is $20 per rider and $5 per passenger, which includes dinner. Menu is brisket, chicken, salt potatoes, cole slaw, rolls and butter.

The Max Ryder Band will play from 4 to 8 p.m.

Breakfast will be available prior to the ride for $8 per plate. It includes French toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, homefries, toast, juice and coffee.

There will be two raffles. One is $10 per ticket and is for cash prizes. First prize is $1,000, second is $400 and third is $100.

The other is for a half-pig, it goes to the Tri-Town Meat Packing Plant on Aug. 25. Winner pays the cut and wrap fees.

The second "Amanda's Butterfly Wishes" motorcycle run and benefit will be at the Parishville fire hall.

Registration is 10 to 11:30 a.m. with a blessing of the bikes at 11:45 a.m. Kickstands up at noon.

Cost is $20 per bike and $10 per passenger.

That includes a pig roast and t-shirt.

Those not riding can show up at 2 p.m. for festivities. Admission is $8, kids under age 10 get in free with an adult.

There will be raffles, a 50/50 drawing and a cash bar.

Proceeds go to Amanda's Butterfly Wish memorial fund. It was created in memory of Amanda Lynn Lashomb, a 2011 Parishville-Hopkinton graduate, who died in 2012 from ALS, known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
