MORLEY -- Morley Wesleyan Church, 7254 CR 27, is this year part of a network of relay and collection centers for Operation Christmas Child.

Operation Christmas Child is a worldwide children's project of Samaritan's Purse that uses simple gift-filled shoeboxes containing school supplies, toys, necessity items and notes of encouragement.

Shoeboxes can be filled with small toys, hygiene items, candy, clothes, and school supplies.

Millions of children who are victims of poverty, natural disaster, war, terrorism and famine receive Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts. These shoebox gifts will be delivered worldwide to children in more than 100 countries on six continents by truck, train, boat and even yak and camel.

Filled shoeboxes or donations can be dropped off at the church on Nov. 10, 17 and 24, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 6 to 7 p.m.

For more information, visit samaritanspurse.org or morleywesleyanchurch.org, or call Pastor David at 386-3342 or Tiffany Zook at 714-2152.
