POTSDAM -- Upwards of 700 Clarkson University students will be granted bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees at commencement ceremonies on May 10 at 2:30 p.m. in the Cheel Arena.
Former U.S. Secretary of Energy Steven Chu and Bridges to Prosperity CEO Avery Bang will receive honorary degrees and make addresses.
Faculty members will be honored with the John W. Graham Jr. Faculty Research Award and the Clarkson University Distinguished Teaching Award.
Two students will receive the Levinus Clarkson Award and the Frederica Clarkson Award for "unsurpassed scholarship and promise of outstanding academic achievement," a statement form Clarkson says.
United States Army and Air Force ROTC (Reserve Officers' Training Corps) cadets will be commissioned on May 9 at 3 p.m.
