CANTON -- More than 40 employers will participate in SUNY Canton's Fall Career Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, at two locations on campus.
Companies and organizations seeking applicants with technology-based skills will be located in Nevaldine Hall.
All other recruiters, including those seeking to fill positions in the health, business and criminal justice fields, will be stationed in the Richard W. Miller Campus Center rooms 212 and 214. Both locations are free and open to alumni and job seekers from the community.
Julie A. Parkman, the college's director of career services, said she was delighted with the size and scope of this year's career fair and that the recruiters match the college's goals and program offerings.
"We have a tremendous number of companies seeking to hire students from the Canino School of Engineering Technology," she said. "Other opportunities include careers with hospitals and health agencies, police departments as well as with area businesses and organizations."
SUNY Canton's Career Fairs often serve as the first interview for full-time positions, but also present opportunities for part-time jobs and internships. Attendants are encouraged to bring their resumes.
