2012 Prom Queen Sarah Scafidi-McGuire and Ann Marie Halstead at the 2012 Mom Prom.
CANTON -- The third annual “Mom Prom” fundraiser will be held Friday, May 3 from 8 to 11 p.m. at the Best Western.
Women of all ages are encourage to put on prom dresses, wedding gowns, bridesmaid frocks or formal gowns for an evening of dancing, door prizes and raffles.
Raffle tickets will be available for “theme” baskets and the opportunity to be crowned the 2013 Mom Prom Queen. There will be a cash bar and music.
Tickets for this women-only event cost $20 and are available at The Blackbird Café, 107 Main St.
Proceeds will benefit the Women Of Grace Widows' Fund, a joint project of the Canton and Watertown Presbyterian Churches dedicated to alleviating poverty and providing opportunities for widows in Malawi, Africa.
