POTSDAM--– The “Merry Tuba Christmas” returns this year with sing-along and Christmas favorites on Saturday, Dec. 13 at 4 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, 26 Main St.
“We, of course, could not do this wonderful holiday event without the fantastic musicians,” said Potsdam Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Marylee Ballou.
The chamber is organizing the concert for the fifth year in a row.
“The Potsdam United Methodist Church has been the concert venue since that first concert five years ago. They are so welcoming to the musicians and audience,” she said.
Registration for players begins at 12:30 p.m. and rehearsal commences at 1 p.m. The registration fee is $10.
Each registrant will receive a Tuba Chrisrmas 2014 commemorative button. Players should bring a music stand if they have one and dressing up your horn for the holiday is encouraged.
Admission is free, although donations will be accepted to support the Potsdam Neighborhood Center.
Parking is available on the street, nearby off Union Street, and the Main Street Public lot next to The Clarkson Inn.
To play in the concert, contact Marylee 274-9000.
