POTSDAM – The Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia will perform Leo Lionni’s Frederick, Swimmy and Inch by Inch Tuesday, Oct. 5, at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at the Snell Theater, SUNY Potsdam, as part of the Community Performance Series Meet the Arts series.
Drawn from Leo Lionni’s Caldecott Honor books, Frederick, a poetic mouse, makes everyday life an artful experience; Swimmy is a tiny fish who uses ingenuity to fend off danger; and in Inch by Inch, a lovable inchworm shares his facility for measuring absolutely everything.
These stories feature an assortment of innovative puppetry styles and imaginative lighting techniques as well as an original musical score.
