MORLEY -- Morley Wesleyan Church is offering kids in first through fifth grades, ages 5 to 11, the MEGA Sports Camp sports ministry outreach program for free Monday through Thursday evenings, June 27 to 30 at the church, 7254 CR 27, Canton.
“We want to give kids the chance to learn more about sports, discover character-building concepts, and have a whole lot of fun,” said Pastor David Bannach.
Kids can choose between soccer and cheerleading. Drills and practice games will get kids focused on the fundamentals. The program attempts to create a positive and encouraging environment that builds confidence and self-esteem.
Between sports sessions, coaches lead in songs, tell stories, and present lessons with character-building themes, interweaving Bible teachings with sports training.
Camp sessions will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
