MASSENA -- St. John’s Episcopal Church, 139 Main St, will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar Saturday, Dec. 10, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The festival will feature a bake sale, crafts, Christmas decorations, a white elephant table, and a luncheon.

A wide variety of home-made baked goods will be available, including pies, cakes, cookies, breads, and candy. Many all-time favorite treats will be featured, including apple pies, Amish friendship bread, and Magic Cookie Bars. There will also be many new and different goodies.

A selection of hand-crafted items will be available, including Christmas decorations. There will also be a variety of “gently used, previously loved” Christmas decorations.

A limited selection of Siwok crafts are still available. The woodcrafts include hand-carved birds and animals, nativity scenes, and crosses. They are made by the Wichi Indians in the rain forest of Northern Argentina, and are marketed by the South American Missionary Society. There will also be a small selection of the popular lapel pin and bookmark sets.

The white elephant table will offer a selection of interesting items. Since one person’s trash is another person’s treasure, you may be able to find some irresistible items at a very good price.

The luncheon will be served from 11 a.m. until 1 p,m. It will include homemade soup, sandwich, and beverage for $4.50. There will be several soup choices, including tomato macaroni, and split pea with ham. Sandwich choices are: egg & olive, chicken salad, or tuna salad. For those with smaller appetites, just the soup or just the sandwich may be purchased for $2. A large cup of coffee, tea, or hot cider will be $1.

A cabbage roll sale has been added this year. They will be made by several church members from a favorite traditional recipe. They will be available for take-out only, for $3 each. If possible, customers should bring their own container.

The public is invited to attend the event. There is no admission charge.
