MASSENA -- The Friends of the Nature Center are hosting their last Jr. Earth Keepers Club meeting on October 11 from 1 to 3 p.m.
Kids are invited to a guided hike to search for burrows, dens and lodges of wild animals. Learn how these animals prepare for the winter. Parents can join.
Following the hike, there will be a campfire and gourmet s’mores.
The day will wrap up with games and prizes.
Participants should meet at the trailhead at the Nature Center, and dress for weather. Closed-toed shoes and bug spray are recommended.
Children should be 5 to 12-years-old and have an interest in nature and outdoor activity.
