MASSENA -- Ten musical groups are on tap for the Massena Chamber of Commerce’s 2015 summer concert series.
The free shows will be on Thursday evenings at Springs Park, with a rain location at the Massena Fire Department.
People can bring their own chairs, event organizers say.
The opening act is Timeline. They will play July 2 at 6 p.m. The band plays music of the 1950s and 60s.
Northern Lights Orchestra will take the stage July 9 at 7 p.m. They will play their “A Celtic Journey” repertoire. It will feature a number of Celtic favorites arranged for full orchestra, as well as several selections featuring the string section. Songs include traditional favorites such as “Danny Boy,” “Scotland the Brave,” “The Minstrel Boy,” and “The South Wind.”
On July 16, Outta The Blue Band will perform a 5 p.m. concert.
Classic rock band Long Time Gone is next in line. They will play July 23 at 6 p.m.
Folk duo Ship Wrecked is slated for July 30 at 6 p.m.
Six Foot Midget, playing a variety of rock, classic rock, 80s rock and country will take the stage Aug. 6 at 6 p.m.
Next in line is rock band Ten Cent Green. They are slated for Aug. 13 at 6 p.m.
Blues-folk duo Mary Ann Casale and Tas Cru will perform Aug. 20 at 6 p.m.
Bucket List with Tracer Blues Trio, a blues-rock outfit, are scheduled for Aug. 27 at 5 p.m.
Glengarry Pipe Band, from Maxville, Ontario will close the series on Sept. 3 at 6 p.m. They are a Scottish act whose instruments include bagpipes and drums.
