MASSENA -- The Massena school music programs will host several free winter holiday concerts throughout December.
On Dec. 2, the high school instrumental concert will feature the orchestra under the direction of Amalio Pratti, and the jazz ensemble and concert band under the direction of Jonathan Hunkins at 7:30 p.m. in the Massena High School auditorium.
Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. is the Nightengale Elementary winter concert in the school gymnasium. The choral groups are under the direction of Michael Draper.
Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. will feature all high school vocal groups including mixed choir, women's choir, Acquired Pitches and men's ensemble. All are under the baton of Christopher Lincoln and will perform in the high school auditorium.
Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. will feature the Jefferson fifth and sixth-grade chorus under the direction of Nora Darling. This concert will take place in the Jefferson afeteria.
Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. will feature the J.W. Leary choral groups under the direction of Candy Taylor in the high school auditorium.
Dec. 17 will be the final performance of the holiday season by the groups at Madison Elementary under the direction of Mary Evans. This concert will take place at 7 p.m. in the Madison cafeteria.
