Massena nature center hosting workshops for kids during school break in April

MASSENA -- The Friends of the Nature Center will host several workshops for kids during school break. The programs, designed for kids ages five to 12, will be hands on and free. Programs will run from 10 a.m. to noon at the Hawkin's Point Visitor's Center. The schedule is:

• Monday, April 1st: “River Monsters!” Learn all about fish and things that live in the river.

• Tuesday, April 2nd : “Sundials!” Learn all about telling time by the sun.

• Wednesday, April 3rd : “Reptiles & Amphibians!” Learn what makes these critters special.

• Thursday, April 4th : “Gnomes & Fairy Houses!” Make a special house for the garden.

• Friday, April 5th : “Blue Birds!” Learn all about the New York State bird.
