MASSENA -- The Friends of the Robert Moses State Park Nature Center are hosting Campfire Cooking events at the Nature Center’s outdoor fire-pit from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. every Friday in August.
The events for all ages include storytelling and other activities.
The events are free and all materials are provided.
Aug. 1 - “Campfire Éclairs”
Aug. 8 - “Campfire Cobbler”
Aug. 15 - “Campfire Pizza”
Aug. 22 - “Pineapple Upside-down Cake”
Aug. 29 - “Gourmet S’Mores”
On August 22, Friends staff will host a “Twilight Hike” through the trails as the cakes cook over the open fire.
For all events, meet at the Nature Center trail head, 19 Robinson Bay Rd.. and dress for weather. If hiking, event organizers recommend long-sleeves, pants, closed-toed shoes and bug spray.
