MASSENA -- Massena Meals on Wheels will celebrate its 29th anniversary with the annual “Keep the Wheels Rolling” radio/telethon fundraiser Friday, Oct. 4 with 1340 WMSA, Time Warner channel 30, and slic.com.
Rising costs of food and supplies have created a shortfall in the organization’s budget, requiring an annual fundraiser. This year’s fundraising goal is $15,000.
Sanford T. Cook and Shawn Gray will emcee to promote the mid-day and afternoon auctions.
The fundraiser will kick off with a spaghetti dinner prepared by Vino Vidi Vici Friday, Sept. 27 at 70 E. Hatfield St. from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Meals will be $8 per person or $30 for a family of four or more. Take out will be available at 769-5083.
Organizers are seeking donations for auction, as well as locations where customers can buy a “wheel” to support the program.
Donations can be mailed to Massena Meals on Wheels, 70 E. Hatfield St., Massena, 13662.
